The Kidney & Hypertension Group Excited about University of Miami's New Paired Donor Kidney Transplant Program

The #Kidney & Hypertension Group is very pleased that the University of Miami School of Medicine / Miami #Transplant Institute (one of the nation's highest rated programs) has begun a Paired Kidney Donor Program. These programs "pair" donors that do not match their loved one, often in multiple surgery "Kidney Chains" resulting in "paired" exchanges for each patient involved. If you think this may be an option for you, we urge you to make an appointment with our own Transplant Nephrologist, Dr. Elio Torres, to learn more about this program and if it is right for you and your potential donor. Contact us at (954) 771-3919.
