Dr. Carlos Bejar, Kidney Doctor, Named MVP By Imperial Point Medical Center

Congratulations to our Dr. Carlos Bejar!!
From the Imperial Point Medical Center Quarterly Newsletter- Congratulations to Dr. Carlos Bejar, MVP for the 2nd Quarter of 2013 Carlos Bejar, MD, was nominated by both clinical and non-clinical staff members for his professionalism in the hospital setting and the quality of care given to his patients. He completed his medical training and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Ohio and is a former Director of Nephrology at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. His interests include diabetic nephropathy and kidney disease in autoimmune disorders. He also completed a special fellowship in renal stone management. He has been honored with the “Top Doc” award for many years and has been recognized as a “Best Doctor” by both the New York Times and U. S. News and World Report. He was also named as a “Top Nephrologist” in Boca Raton. Dr. Bejar is on the faculty of Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine where he lectures students in Nephrology and also monitors residents, as well. He is the Vice Chief of Staff at Broward Health Imperial Point and was previously Chief of Medicine. He continues to lecture nationally, particularly on the topic of Refractory Hypertension and Pharmacology as it pertains to hypertension. He also sits on the Medical Review Board for chronic kidney disease patients in the State of Florida Network 7. Dr. Carlos Bejar has one daughter and enjoys his free time fishing, hunting, and driving fast cars. Broward Health Imperial Point is fortunate to have him on staff and to be a part of our community.
